Fri Mar 19-Cornwall Alternative Learners

Where: Marazion Community Centre

Event Description: Cost: £4.50 for one child, £6.50 for 2, £8.50 for 3 and £10.00 for 4+. (Under 18mths old free) If you would like to pay termly, there will be a 10% discount. There will also be an annual family membership fee of £15 to cover insurance and other costs such as membership of Scrapstore. We will be providing a number of optional activities through out the day, we will try to cater for all ages and interests and hope to follow the kids lead with what activities will be offered. Alongside these scheduled activities, there will be a number of 'open all day' alternatives that kids can dip in and out of at will - these will include things like painting, craft, playdough, boardgames and books. We really hope to provide a warm, friendly supportive environment for all the family.

There will be a charge of £2 for the first child and £1 each for subsequent children, this goes towards materials and group insurance. Bring a packed lunch. Mon Mar 22-Tintagel HE Group

Event Description: We are a gentle, child-led group with no strict structure. Our main goal is to provide a safe, relaxed environment for children to meet up. Please bring any toys (no noisy electronic toys please) and crafty activity things that you'd like to share. Mon Mar 29-Visit - Plants for a Future

Event Description: St Austell HE Group has been invited to Plants for a Future for a day out. PFAF is a fascinating site of edible, medicinal and useful plants. Plants for a Future was established in 1989 on 28 acres to demonstrate the many uses of plants with a very strong emphasis on perennial species. The group wil learn about the land; the plants and methods of growing them; and also have an opportunity to taste some of the edible plants. St Austell HE Group has been given a patch, “The Robert Hart Memorial Garden”, to plant up – there will be some plants ready waiting for us. People can also bring musical instruments as we always have a camp fire and sing-a-long. Wear long trousers and sensible footwear. If it rains we will use the polytunnel, (though no camp fire!) and bring vegetarian food to share. Event Description: Cost: £2.50 per family. People will need to bring food to cook on the fire as I will only be supplying bread, popcorn and apples. This session can only happen if it is not too windy as the woods are not 'managed'. If the weather is bad swimming at Ships and Castles is plan B.
