This two-day training, March 10 11 ($250), provides the conceptual framework and practical tools to bring rites of passage into your own community. For the past 15 years, Journeys has drawn upon more than 40 years of experience to teach dozens of schools, organizations, churches and communities how to create rites of passage for their youth. Join us as we explore coming of age program design, and examine in-depth critical pieces of contemporary rite of passage programs: adult mentorship, the teaching power of nature, and the artisanship of ritual. Each day provides theoretical models, practical examples from our experience and a chance to apply the learning to your unique situation.
